about
Studio Wonder Room is a one-woman studio in The Hague, led by Eveline Jansen, specialising in surface pattern design for wallpaper, prints, and fabric. Eveline combines analogue printing techniques with digital design, creating bold, colourful, and playful patterns that feel both nostalgic and fresh.
She likes to start her day with a walk along the beach near her home before cycling to her studio, giving her inspiration from both patterns in nature and architecture. Her vintage fabric collection also influences her work, infusing it with a sense of history and beauty. Eveline’s passion for design stems from her love of capturing the textures and details of the world around her, with the aim of bringing energy and wonder to any space through colour and pattern.
The name Wonder Room reflects Eveline's belief that every space should be filled with curiosity and beauty. Just like the room where one collects cherished objects and moments, Studio Wonder Room brings together inspiration from nature, art, and design to create patterns that inspire and mesmerize.
When collaborating with a brand, Eveline delves into its history and identity to create patterns for a collection that are in line with its heritage and identity, ensuring each design reflects the essence of the brand while remaining uniquely her own. Having previously worked in marketing for multinationals and non-profits, Eveline has the expertise to deeply explore the DNA of a brand and translate that into patterns.
Eveline visits major interior design fairs, including Maison et Objet, and has extensive knowledge of trends in interior design. She offers Trend Watch advice for brands and can also provide interior design consulting, helping brands stay ahead of the curve with the latest trends and design insights.
In addition to her studio practice, Eveline teaches visual communication at an interior design academy, where she shares her expertise and passion with the next generation of designers. She is also available to organise mood board, vision board, or visual communication workshops. Feel free to contact Studio Wonder Room for more information on these options.
